Tutorial
Tutorial details:
The user chooses whether to do a tutorial before starting to play or not.
Structure: player is in a game situation and the instructor (who is the boss of the newsmagazine) gives him orders. The friendly colleague shows him how to solve different tasks.


User documentation& Installation: attached booklet that describes how to install the game and informs about the structure of the game, tasks, aims, …(including pictures to give examples)
Support: website: www.thefluxcompensator.com that provides a forum for game players.
If the player has any further difficulties can use our hotline or email.

Sound
Sound effects required and suggested music score

Sound is an important element of our game. The player gets crucial information about the missions in conversations with his boss and different informants. He can also overhear secret meetings and conversations of important people.

Our player travels back in time to various ages. The music score should give a feeling for the different ages. Famous for his motion picture soundtracks, Hans Zimmer is our first choice for our score. We plan to release the score on CD together with other merchandise products.

For our time travel scenes we need a special, dramatic sound.
In general, sound gives the player important feedback about his actions and warns him about upcoming events.

The music format of our choice is mp3, which is supported by our game engine.

Gameplay:

- You have to get all the information within the mission to succeed.
- You must infiltrate different locations to take photographs of your objectives.
- You must adapt to the period of time as clothing and language.
- Primary and secondary mission objectives.
- You have to choose the right equipment (camera) for each mission.
- No weapon but the flash of your camera.
- Violence won't lead to results.
- Vortex included in your garbage can, which is your time machine.
- To finish a mission you must find a kind of garbage can as used in the period of the mission.

For sure the game is worth playing!

1.) selection of gadgets (photocamera, clothes, objects you gain through the game)
2.) places to go (library, museum, theatre, government buildings, churches,...)
3.) encounters (politicians, priests, famous people in general, opponents and Martina as well)

GAME learning outcomes & motivation for the players

1.) The player gains technical knowledge about cameras& styling during different epoches. Player gets motivated because he has to make better photos than the others, and he has to dress in the right way to adapt to the people of the specific epoche.
2.) The player gets information about people and historical events that he needs to complete his missions. Besides he gets an inside into culture and architecture in history.
3.) The player learns about forms of society and roles certain people play in an epoche. Some people the player meets have information which is crucial to the mission.
